FAQ

What is the best Demon Art in Slayers 2?
Shockwave and Ice Manipulation share the top tier on the post-balance list dated 2026-09-22. Shockwave brings a strict stun and hyper armor breaking, while Ice Manipulation covers the largest area and freezes groups, which makes both strong in PvP and useful in dungeons.
Is Reaper a Blood Demon Art or a Fighting Style?
Sources conflict and neither side has been reconciled. Beebom reports that the current balance notes classify Reaper as a Fighting Style rather than a Blood Demon Art, yet still includes it in its Demon Art comparison. Another site groups Reaper and Arrow as higher-tier Evil Arts.
Is Pyrokinesis the same as Explosive Blood?
Yes. Pyrokinesis is the current name for the art that older lists call Explosive Blood, and the renaming is confirmed by a third site that still files its artwork under the old name. Treating them as two arts inflates a nine-art list into ten.
Is Tamari the same as Temari?
Yes, they are one projectile art with two spellings. Beebom and ProGameGuides write Tamari, Destructoid writes Temari Manipulation, and ProGameGuides states outright that both names describe the same art. It is ranked C on the post-balance list.
How do you get a Blood Demon Art in Slayers 2?
Become a demon first, which means dropping reputation to minus 40 and finishing the Muzan quest chain. You then ask Muzan for power and spin, and one source reports a 70 percent chance of receiving an art with 30 percent returning nothing.
Why are there no Demon Art spin rates on this page?
Because no reliable source publishes them. The only published table of Demon Art rarities comes from a single site that contradicts itself on which art is rarest and admits the numbers are unconfirmed estimates, so it is not used here.

Which Blood Demon Art is the best in Slayers 2?

Shockwave and Ice Manipulation are the two S-tier arts on the post-balance list dated 2026-09-22. Dream Manipulation, Blood Manipulation, Pyrokinesis, Obi Manipulation and Reaper sit at A, Arrow at B, and Tamari at C. The list reflects the game after v0.98 and v0.110.

Demon Art Tier What the placement rests on
Shockwave S Projectile hits apply a strict stun, shots can be redirected, counter breaks hyper armor and buffs other skills
Ice Manipulation S Largest area coverage in the game plus freeze, clears groups at range and controls space in PvP
Dream Manipulation A Stun, projectiles, sleep, area damage and the Flesh Monster transformation
Blood Manipulation A Still strong after the v0.98 cuts to its V skill and its final-hit guardbreak
Pyrokinesis A Tracking and turning were improved, so it lands more of what it throws
Obi Manipulation A Damage bonus across the full set plus armor on one skill and a guardbreak on another
Reaper A Fast skills and heavy projectile output, best in PvP where group control matters less
Arrow B Aiming and homing improved, still a specialist pick
Tamari C Punishing on keyboard and mouse because it depends on platforms and precise aim

Two arts dominate for different reasons. Shockwave wins exchanges the moment a projectile connects, because a strict stun removes the opponent’s turn entirely. Ice Manipulation wins by refusing to fight fair, freezing groups at range and clearing dungeon packs faster than anything else. Everything below them trades one of those two properties for something narrower.

What are all nine Blood Demon Arts and Evil Arts?

Nine arts were live at launch, spread across seven weapons. The game’s own title system names them Arrow, Blood Manipulation, Cryokinesis, Dream, Obi Manipulation, Pyrokenesis, Reaper, Shockwave and Tamari, which is the best confirmation that the pool is nine entries rather than a rumour list.

Art Also written as Group used here Dispute
Shockwave Shockwave Blood Demon Art None
Ice Manipulation Cryokinesis Blood Demon Art None, the two names are the same art
Dream Manipulation Dream Blood Demon Art None
Blood Manipulation Blood Blood Demon Art None
Pyrokinesis Pyrokenesis, Explosive Blood Blood Demon Art Older name in circulation
Obi Manipulation Obi Blood Demon Art None
Tamari Temari, Temari Manipulation Blood Demon Art Two spellings
Arrow Arrow Manipulation Evil Art Some sources file it as a standard art
Reaper Reaper Evil Art Balance notes call it a Fighting Style

This site splits the pool into Blood Demon Arts, meaning the seven standard entries, and Evil Arts, meaning Reaper and Arrow. That split follows the sites that describe an Evil Art tier rather than the sites that treat every entry as one list. The underlying game calls the whole system by both names, so the grouping is a presentation choice, not a claim that the seven are mechanically different in kind. The titles guide shows the same nine names under the Evil Art damage factor bonus, which is the most objective version of the list available.

How does the Destructoid list compare?

Destructoid’s ranking is dated 2026-09-20, before v0.98 and v0.110. It put Blood Manipulation and Ice Manipulation at S, three entries at A, five at B including Explosive Blood and Arrow, and Wind, Water and Temari at C. Several of its entries are names other sources treat as Breathing Styles.

Art, as Destructoid names it Destructoid tier (2026-09-20) Post-balance tier for the same art
Blood Manipulation S A
Ice Manipulation S S
Dream Manipulation A A
Shockwave A S
Reaper A A
Explosive Blood B A, as Pyrokinesis
Arrow B B
Obi Manipulation B A
Temari C C, as Tamari

The list cannot be read line by line against the newer one, because it mixes demon arts with names that elsewhere appear as breathing styles and ranks them in a single order. What it does show is how much moved in two days: Blood Manipulation fell from the top after its nerfs, Shockwave rose as its stun proved decisive, and Obi Manipulation climbed a tier. A page that quotes only the older list is describing a build that no longer exists.

Is Reaper a Blood Demon Art or a Fighting Style?

Sources genuinely conflict and no reconciliation exists. Beebom reports that the current balance notes classify Reaper as a Fighting Style rather than a Blood Demon Art, and then still lists Reaper inside its own Demon Art comparison table. That is a contradiction inside a single source, and it is reported here rather than smoothed over.

The other two positions are just as distinct. One competitor site describes Reaper and Arrow as belonging to a higher tier called Evil Arts rather than to Blood Demon Arts at all. Destructoid labels Reaper as an Evil and Demon Art, which puts it back in the demon column while keeping the Evil label. Three sources, three classifications, and the safest practical reading is that Reaper is a demon-side unlock whose official category the developers have not settled in public.

What is not disputed is how Reaper plays: fast skills, heavy projectile output and a PvP lean. Its group control is limited, so it clears dungeon packs less efficiently than Ice Manipulation or Dream Manipulation. If you are picking an art for farming rather than duels, that difference matters more than the label.

Is Pyrokinesis the same as Explosive Blood, and is Tamari the same as Temari?

Both pairs are one art each with two names. Pyrokinesis is the current name for what older lists call Explosive Blood, and a third site confirms the rename by still filing the art’s artwork under the old filename. Tamari and Temari are two spellings of the same projectile art.

Newer name Older or alternate name Evidence
Pyrokinesis Explosive Blood A third site states the art was renamed, and older artwork keeps the original filename
Tamari Temari, Temari Manipulation ProGameGuides states the two names describe one art; Destructoid uses Temari
Ice Manipulation Cryokinesis The title system uses Cryokinesis while tier lists use Ice Manipulation
Blood Manipulation Blood Shortened form used in patch discussion

This matters for counting. If you treat Pyrokinesis and Explosive Blood as separate arts, add Tamari and Temari as another pair, and count Cryokinesis next to Ice Manipulation, you reach twelve entries and start wondering which arts are missing. The pool is nine. Naming drift also explains why older patches appear to buff arts that no longer appear on any list, which is exactly what happened with Temari in v0.98.

What did the balance patches change about each art?

v0.98 hit Blood Manipulation hardest, cutting the V skill’s damage by 35 percent, removing its strict stun and stripping the guardbreak from the final hit of X. The same patch buffed Pyrokinesis tracking, gave Obi Manipulation a 10 percent full-set damage bonus with armor on Z and a guardbreak on V, and adjusted Arrow’s homing.

Art Change Patch Confidence
Blood Manipulation V damage cut 35%, V strict stun removed, X final hit guardbreak removed v0.98 Reported by the post-balance summary
Pyrokinesis Tracking and turning improved v0.98 Single outlet
Obi Manipulation Plus 10% full-set damage, armor on Z, guardbreak on V v0.98 Single outlet
Tamari Full set of buffs, Dunk cancel behaviour adjusted v0.98 Two outlets
Arrow Aiming and projectile homing tuned v0.98 Two outlets
All damage-over-time arts Damage-over-time ticks no longer trigger counters v0.110 Single outlet

The v0.110 counter fix is the quiet one. If your art applies burn or poison over time, those ticks used to count as hits and could consume a counter window, which punished exactly the builds that leaned on damage over time. Removing that interaction did not change any tier by itself, but it made sustained-damage arts more predictable to play. The dated version list lives on the update history and patch notes page.

How do you unlock a Blood Demon Art?

Become a demon first. That means dropping your reputation to minus 40 by killing Civilians or Slayer NPCs, finding Muzan at night, and finishing the quest chain that sends you after nine Spider Lilies and Dr. Higoshima. The how to become a demon page covers the route and the Spider Lily locations page covers the flowers.

Once you are a demon, ask Muzan for power and use a spin. One source reports a 70 percent chance of receiving an art and a 30 percent chance of getting nothing, a figure that comes from a single outlet and should be treated as a reported rate rather than a confirmed one. Arts also drop from bosses and chests, including luck chests, so a spin is not the only route. To make the skills fully functional you need an Evil Art Orb and must complete the art’s training objectives, and leaving the server mid-training loses the task and the cubes attached to it. Switching arts is possible but paid, reported at 25 Robux or 2 Ore for a reset, with a full revert-to-human path as the alternative.

Why does this page not list Demon Art spin odds?

Because the only published table of Demon Art rarities fails its own consistency check. One competitor site prints a community estimate with Common at 45 to 55 percent and Uncommon at 25 to 35 percent, then names Dream Manipulation as the rarest art in one section and Tamari as the rarest in its FAQ, while stating that the developers never confirmed any of it.

Those numbers are not reproduced here, and neither are the per-art drop rates from the same page. A rate table that contradicts itself cannot be a source, and copying it would make this page worse than the sites it competes with. What would change that: an official Discord post, a Roblox page announcement, or two independent outlets reporting the same figures with a date attached. None of those exist as of 2026-09-23. The codes page tracks the related open question of whether demon art spins are a separate currency from clan spins, which is also unresolved.

Which Demon Art should you pick for PvE, PvP or farming?

For farming, Dream Manipulation is the strongest solo option: stun, sleep, a compact ranged barrage and the Flesh Monster transformation let it clear packs alone, though its area skills overlap with teammates in group farming. For dungeons at range, Ice Manipulation clears faster than anything else because it freezes whole groups at once.

For PvP, Shockwave and Reaper are the two names to weigh. Shockwave punishes any clean projectile hit with a strict stun and can break hyper armor on a counter, while Reaper throws faster skills in larger numbers and struggles more when the fight turns into group control. Blood Manipulation remains an A-tier pick after its nerfs, but it is no longer the automatic best choice it was on 2026-09-20. Avoid Tamari unless you play on a controller or mobile, where aim assist and auto-lock compensate for its precision demands; on a keyboard its single-hit attacks and short range are a real handicap. Nothing here overlaps with breathing styles, which are the slayer-side alternative covered on the breathing style tier list.

What is this page based on?

This page is built from Community Verified sources: Beebom’s post-balance Demon Art tier list dated 2026-09-22, Destructoid’s pre-balance list dated 2026-09-20, patch breakdowns from allthings.how and Pro Game Guides, and GameRant, cross-checked on 2026-09-23. Unconfirmed here: all spin and drop rates, the 70 percent spin success figure, and Reaper’s official category.
