FAQ

What level do you need for Breathing styles in Slayers 2?
Level 25. Every trainer uses that gate, and a guide quoting a different number is usually repeating data from the first Project Slayers game. Hitting level 25 is not enough on its own, because each style still ends with a training chain and a trainee fight.
Do you need Wall Climb and Double Jump to reach the trainers?
Wall Climb is effectively mandatory for Stone, Thunder, Sound and Serpent, and Double Jump removes long detours everywhere else. Both sit in the Movement branch of the Skill Tree, so buy them before you start travelling between regions.
Why do guides give different material numbers for the same trainer?
Trainer costs moved during launch week and several sites still publish numbers from the original game. Stone's Beast Core counter has even been seen showing 4 and 5 within one session, so read the counter in the dialog in front of you.
Is the Stone trainer called Gyorei or Kore?
Both names belong to the same NPC. His nameplate and the interaction prompt read Gyorei, while the conversation text calls him Kore. Do not walk past one name while looking for the other.
Is the Serpent trainer the same enemy as Serpent King Obari?
No. Obari exists twice: as a trainer NPC standing in a cliff alcove and as a separate world boss encounter. A level 25 character wants the alcove, and walking into the boss arena first is how players lose an evening.
Why is there no official trainer list?
Ouw Productions has never published trainer names, level requirements or material costs. The official Roblox page description only covers mobile control settings, and the official YouTube channel published move showcases rather than unlock guides.

Where are the Slayers 2 Breathing trainers, and what do they cost?

All eight trainers appear in the table below with the region they stand in and the landmark that gives them away. Every one shares the same level 25 gate and the same two movement skills, so the real difference between them is the route you take and the material bill they show in dialog.

Style Trainer Region Landmark that gives them away Community-reported gate
Flame Rengu Near Mistfall Village Low roof behind the main wooden house beside the long red bridge Level 25, 10 Demon Horns
Insect Shinora Butterfly Estate Roof or back balcony of the main mansion, above a patrolling Insect Trainee Level 25, cost shown in dialog only
Stone Gyorei (Kore in dialog) Lower Bear Area / Stone Sanctuary Wooden dojo on the high platform, standing against the side wall Level 25, Axe and Mace equipped, 4 or 5 Beast Cores
Thunder Zentaro Mountain Peak above the bear area Flat high plateau at the top of the climb Level 25, Wall Climb, 10 Demon Horns
Water Urokodaki (Sakonji) Hidden room under the Bamboo Grove waterfall Dive below the bushes, swim the tunnel, climb the ladder Level 25, 5,000 Wen, 30 Demon Horns
Wind Saneri Snowy Biome Platform in the middle of the water, north of the Iceveil Village bridge Level 25, 50 Demon Horns
Sound Tengai Iceveil Valley High cliff ledge tucked into a rock corner above the snow town Level 25, Wall Climb, 10 Demon Horns
Serpent Obari Cliff alcove above Windy Peak Pull the camera back and sweep the top of the cliff in a circle Level 25, Wall Climb, 20 Demon Horns, 5 Beast Cores

Three conditions apply to all eight, and the third one catches people who only read the level requirement. First, you must be level 25. Second, Wall Climb and Double Jump make four of the trainers physically reachable and shorten the rest. Third, you have to run the trainer’s own task chain and defeat the trainee at the end of it before the style unlocks. Five sites agree on the level 25 gate and on the training chain, but none of them can point to an official announcement, because there is not one.

A fourth condition is easy to miss: only human Slayer characters can learn a Breathing style. If you took the demon route, your progression runs through Blood Demon Arts instead, and the trainers will not start you on a chain. Check the demon conversion guide if you are weighing the two paths, and the skill tree guide if you still need the movement skills.

What does each trainer ask for in materials?

Every number in this table comes from third-party guides, never from the developer, and two outlets disagree on several rows. The instruction that applies to all eight of them is the same: read the counter in the trainer dialog before you hand anything over, because these costs moved during the launch window.

Style Demon Horns Beast Cores Wen Notes on the sources
Flame 10 Not found Not found Three outlets agree on 10 horns
Insect Not found Not found Not found Every guide writes TBA or “check the dialog”
Stone Not found 4 or 5 Not found The same session has shown both numbers
Thunder 10 Not found Not found One outlet lists Wall Climb only
Water 30 Not found 5,000 Four outlets agree on both values
Wind 50 Not found 5,000 on one site Highest horn demand of the eight
Sound 10 Not found Not found Two outlets list the horns
Serpent 20 5 Not found A fourth outlet omits both materials

Two disagreements matter more than the rest. First, one beginner guide says most styles need around three Beast Cores, while the style-specific write-ups put Serpent and Stone at five; the three-core figure looks like launch-week data that was never updated, and the Beast Core farm is unpleasant enough that under-preparing costs you a second night. Second, one outlet recorded a launch build asking for 5,000 Wen, 30 Demon Horns and 5 Beast Cores, then a later run asking for 10,000 Wen and 20 to 30 horns with no cores at all. The level gate survived both versions; the material bill did not.

What has the developer actually confirmed?

Almost nothing on this page, and that is worth stating plainly. The official YouTube channel has published move showcases for seven of the eight styles, and Serpent is the one that never received a standalone showcase. The official Roblox page description covers mobile and console control settings and nothing else, and no official post has ever listed a trainer name, a level requirement or a material cost.

Practically, that means the names on this page rest on in-game nameplates and on four to six independent outlets agreeing with each other, not on a developer statement. Treat the positions as strong community knowledge and the numbers as a starting budget. If you want to double-check the official side yourself, the official links page collects the channels where announcements actually appear, including the Discord server that replaced a public Trello board. The short version for a first style: pick Serpent or Flame, farm Demon Horns and Beast Cores in the same night, and arrive at the trainer with more materials than the table says.

Where is Rengu, the Flame trainer?

Rengu stands on a small rooftop near Mistfall Village rather than on the road, so you have to look up. Walk out of the village toward the long red bridge and check the low roof behind the big wooden house, which is the position ProGameGuides and AllThings.how describe from two different approaches.

The approach that works from the Bamboo Grove side: run toward Mistfall Harbor, cross the suspension bridge and the water, then climb the cliff wall behind the area that carries Rengu’s own name. The trainer sits on a narrow eave behind the main wooden house, which means a player who hugs the ground will circle the building several times without ever seeing him.

One caution about this trainer specifically: the same name is attached to the boss area and to the Rengu encounter nearby, so “Rengu is at the Rengu area” is not a useful instruction. Two outlets also disagree with the majority about the roof, placing him in the Forgotten Ruins or on the harbor dam, so treat the red bridge as the reliable landmark. Flame wants 10 Demon Horns by three accounts, and no source lists a Beast Core or Wen requirement for it.

Where is Shinora, the Insect trainer?

Shinora waits on the Butterfly Estate, on the roof or the rear balcony of the main building, not at the door and not inside. The landmark that tells you the building is correct is a patrolling Insect Trainee on the ground below; if that NPC is walking the courtyard, you are under the right roof.

Getting there starts west of Mistfall Harbor. The estate sits in a closed valley filled with purple mist and wisteria trees, and almost every route in ends with a drop off a cliff edge, so plan your landing rather than your climb. Once you are up, the interaction prompt reads [T] Insect Trainer Shinora Chat, which confirms you have the right NPC even if you approached from an unexpected direction.

Insect is the one style where no outlet will commit to material numbers, and the TBA in those tables is honest rather than lazy. One social media post circulates a set of costs, but it is a single unverified player comment and it should not be treated as data. The gender used for Shinora also varies between a male pronoun on one guide and a female model assumption on a competitor wiki, so do not rely on appearance to identify him.

Where is Gyorei, the Stone trainer?

Gyorei stands in the Stone Sanctuary against the side wall of the large wooden dojo on the high platform, and the dialog labels the same NPC Kore. Wall Climb is what gets you onto that platform, and the fork on the cliff path above the bear area decides whether you arrive or end up on the Thunder route.

From the bear area, follow the cliffside path until it splits. Take the left branch that drops downhill; the upward branch belongs to the Thunder trainer and the right-hand branch leads nowhere useful. Once you are on the sanctuary platform, look at the wall of the dojo instead of the open ground, because Gyorei does not stand in the middle of the courtyard.

Stone is the most demanding chain of the eight. It runs Meditation, Pushups, Boulder Push, Boulder Split and a Parkour Dungeon before a fight with the Stone Trainee, and the Boulder Split check only registers while an Axe and Mace is equipped. That weapon is not sold by the trainer; it drops from the Stone Trainee itself, with a 7% rate reported by one outlet, and it appears in the Uncategorized Weapons tab rather than under katanas.

The Beast Core requirement here is unstable. Players have seen the counter ask for 4 and then 5 in the same run, so prepare five before you commit. One source also advises budgeting extra because the number moved between attempts.

The name trap: a separate world boss is also called Gyorei. One outlet labels it a level 3000 encounter and another describes roughly 3000 HP, so even the scale is unconfirmed, but both agree it is a different fight from the trainer. If the NPC you found is attacking you instead of offering a Chat prompt, you are in the boss arena.

Where is Zentaro, the Thunder trainer?

Zentaro waits on the flat plateau at the top of the mountain route above the bear area, past the boss zone you cross on the way up. Wall Climb is not optional, because the final stretch is bare cliff; Games.gg lists that skill as the requirement while SportsRant and AllThings.how also add 10 Demon Horns.

The climb starts at the bamboo village bridge. Cross the river, pass the Obari boss area, and work upward using the large stone pillars and tree trunks as your staircase. The finish is a wide, flat highland, which is a useful detail: if you are still on a narrow ledge, you have not arrived.

Four outlets describe this mountain differently, naming a summit near Bamboo Grove, the mountain route by the bear village, the Windy Peak highlands and the Verdant Cliffs plateau. Those are probably four names for one climb rather than four destinations, but the disagreement is worth knowing if you are following a video route. Bring healing items, since a fall from the upper section costs more time than the fight itself.

Where is Urokodaki, the Water trainer?

Urokodaki, whose full name is Sakonji Urokodaki, is inside a hidden room beneath the waterfall on the south side of Bamboo Grove Sanctuary. Find the bushes at the water’s edge near the island hut, dive under them, swim the underwater tunnel without stopping, and climb the ladder at the far end.

The tunnel is the only genuinely dangerous part of this route. You are drowning the whole way, and players who pause to look around mid-swim run out of breath before they reach the ladder. Treat it as a straight sprint with one direction, and set your spawn nearby first so a failed attempt costs a short walk instead of a full trip.

Water is one of the two styles with a widely repeated cash and material bill: 5,000 Wen and 30 Demon Horns across four independent sites. The training chain runs six steps, including an Underwater Rocks task that wants five Sea Crystals, and ends with a trainee fight. One guide names that trainee Sabito at around 600 HP and lists the rewards, but it is the only outlet giving those numbers, so keep them at arm’s length. For the moves you are buying, see the Water Breathing page.

Where is Saneri, the Wind trainer?

Saneri stands on a platform in the middle of the water in the snowy biome. From the Iceveil Village bridge, jump into the water below and swim north until the platform comes into view; the cold damages you for the whole crossing, so carry a torch, lantern or another heat source.

Coming from the bear area, the snow zone is entered on the left and the temperature starts draining health almost immediately. If you have not solved cold protection yet, set your spawn at the snow village crystal before you attempt the swim, and read the leveling guide for the level band where this region becomes survivable rather than punishing.

Wind carries the highest Demon Horn demand of the eight at 50, and one outlet adds 5,000 Wen that two others omit. There is also a claim that the ultimate skill needs a fight against Saneri herself with a low drop chance, plus separate drops for a Wind Katana, uniform and haori. That entire set comes from a single guide, so treat it as a lead rather than a plan. One outlet even contradicts itself about whether Saneri stands on the water platform or outside a house near Fukushima Village, and the water platform is the version repeated across the rest of the field.

Where is Tengai, the Sound trainer?

Tengai is on a high cliff ledge in Iceveil Valley, tucked into a rock corner above the snow town, and he is easy to walk past. Climb through the town and keep gaining height; the rock overhang hides the NPC until you are almost standing on the same ledge.

The in-game nameplate reads Sound Trainer Tengai, and Wall Climb is the hard requirement alongside level 25, with 10 Demon Horns reported by two outlets. One guide describes a longer prerequisite chain that begins with Kazu’s spy task and four marked civilians, then sends you to the Bamboo Grove waterfall cave for horns and to a village near Giyuu for Beast Cores at night. That chain is single-sourced, so confirm the first step in game before you build a route around it.

Sound training finishes at the Butterfly Mansion and ends with the Sound Trainee. Note the double meaning again here: Tengai is also the name of the Iceveil Valley world boss, so a map marker pointing at Tengai may be pointing at a fight rather than a lesson. The moves you unlock are covered on the Sound Breathing page.

Where is Obari, the Serpent trainer?

Obari stands in a cliff alcove above the starting region, between Windy Peak and Bamboo Grove, and not inside any village. Climb to the top of the cliff, then pull your camera back and sweep in a circle, because the recess hides him from the path and the Chat prompt only appears once you step onto the platform.

The position reports for this trainer are genuinely incompatible, which is why the circle sweep matters more than any single instruction. ProGameGuides puts the alcove north of Windy Peak, GameHorizon puts it east of Windy Peak and northwest of Bamboo Grove, and one wiki puts it on the swamp path between Bamboo Grove and the bear area. All three agree on the elevation, so climb first and search in a spiral instead of trusting one compass direction.

Wall Climb is the requirement people skip, and without it the alcove is simply unreachable. Three outlets list 20 Demon Horns and 5 Beast Cores on top of level 25, while a fourth lists only level 25, Wall Climb and a Wen range with no material bill at all. Because that gap is unresolved, read the counter in the dialog before you spend a night farming.

The name trap: Serpent King Obari is a separate world boss that drops a Serpent Katana, a Serpent Haori and the Slithering Serpent skill. The trainer and the boss share a name and nothing else. At level 25 you want the alcove NPC, not the arena.

The style itself is listed as Serpent Breathing on most sites but appears in game as Snake Breathing, and Serpent is generally treated as the cheapest first unlock because it sits closest to the spawn point. The Serpent Breathing page covers the moves, and the Breathing tier list shows how it compares after the recent balance patches.

What is this page based on?

This page is built from Community Verified and Unconfirmed sources: Games.gg, ProGameGuides, AllThings.how, NerdsChalk, GameHorizon, SportsRant and TechWiser, cross-checked on 2026-09-23. Trainer names reach the strongest evidence tier this game offers, because four to six independent outlets and in-game nameplates agree on all eight, but no name, position or material figure has an official source.

Several claims here lean on a single outlet and are labelled in the text: the Sabito trainee fight and its rewards, the Wind ultimate drop, the Sound prerequisite chain, and the Axe and Mace drop rate. The Serpent material bill conflicts head-on with one guide that omits horns and cores, and Stone’s Beast Core counter has been observed changing between runs. Verify against the dialog in front of you before spending materials.
