FAQ

Where are the Lost Pages in Slayers 2?
All five are inside the starting town, not out in the wilds. They sit beside three stacked barrels near the tall pagoda, in a garden corner below the ramp, in front of a red torii gate, next to a large rock, and under a bamboo tree in the garden along the west wall.
Who gives the Lost Pages quest?
Kona, an NPC in the starting area, offers a quest called Recover the Lost Pages. It is flagged as optional, but the reward feeds directly into your early progression, so most guides treat it as a required first pass.
What do you get for collecting all five Lost Pages?
The Book of Guidance, which is granted automatically the moment the fifth page is picked up. It points you toward the next recommended quest, and one map guide also credits it with unlocking the map and fast travel.
Can you skip the Lost Pages quest?
You can, since the game marks it optional, but the early side quests around the starting town gate your progress later. Sources that cover the level 35 wall list the page hunt alongside the bear meat and delivery quests as content you should not skip.
Do you need a high level or any movement skills for the Lost Pages?
No. The route is a ground-level walk through the starting town and needs no Wall Climb, no Double Jump and no combat. Bring nothing except a little patience, because two of the pages are small and sit against walls.
Why can't I find the third Lost Page?
The alley between the two houses has to be entered on the left side, and the page lies on the ground just before the red torii gate rather than behind it. Players who walk the main street past the turn usually miss it entirely.

Where are all five Lost Pages in Slayers 2?

All five pages are inside the starting town, and one continuous walk connects them in a loop that takes a few minutes. The table below lists each page with the landmark that marks it and the direction you travel from the previous pickup.

Page Landmark Direction from the previous page
1 Left of three stacked barrels, near the tall pagoda From Kona, walk north-east toward the pagoda
2 Garden corner beside the wall Head south-east down the ramp, then look right
3 On the ground in front of a red torii gate Keep going straight, then take the left alley between two houses
4 Against a large rock Turn around and walk a short distance
5 Under a bamboo tree on the left side Continue west along the left wall to the bamboo garden

The route is short enough to run in one sitting, and it never leaves the town, which is why it is one of the first things worth doing on a new character. If you are still deciding what to do with your first hour, the beginner guide puts this quest in context with the other opening tasks.

Who gives the Lost Pages quest, and is it worth doing?

Kona, an NPC in the starting area, hands out a quest called Recover the Lost Pages. The game marks it optional, but the reward feeds straight into your early progression, so most guides treat it as something to complete on the first pass rather than later.

Two reasons make it worth the detour. The first is the reward itself, a guidance item that keeps pointing you at the next recommended quest while the game is still teaching you its map. The second is timing: the cluster of starting-town side quests, including the page hunt, the bear meat task and the delivery runs, gates progression further down the line. One beginner guide states plainly that skipping these early side quests can leave you stuck before level 35, which is a far worse outcome than spending ten minutes collecting paper.

There is no combat in the route and no level requirement. A fresh character with a starter katana can complete it, and the pages do not despawn if another player is in the area.

Where is Lost Page 1?

Stand in front of Kona and walk north-east, straight toward the tall pagoda building. When the three stacked barrels come into view, look to the left of them: the first page lies against the barrels on that side, not behind them and not on top.

The pagoda is the tallest structure in the starting town, so it works as a compass for the whole route. If you cannot see it, you are facing the wrong way; turn until the tower is in front of you and walk. Players who climb onto roofs looking for the page waste the most time on this step, because the pickup is at ground level and the prompt only appears when you are standing beside it.

Once you have it, do not walk back to Kona. The remaining four pages form a single path from this point, and doubling back breaks the loop.

Where is Lost Page 2?

From the first page, head south-east and go down the ramp. The moment you reach the bottom, look to your right, close to the wall, and check the corner of the garden: the second page sits there rather than out in the open beds.

The word that matters here is immediately. The page is placed where the ramp meets the garden wall, so if you keep walking for more than a few seconds past the slope you have already passed it. Sweep the wall side rather than the centre of the garden, because the flower beds are decorative and the pickup sits in the corner where two boundaries meet.

If the ramp is busy with other players, walk it slowly once and check both corners at the base before moving on. This is the page most often skipped by players who read the direction as “south-east of the town” rather than “south-east of the first page”.

Where is Lost Page 3?

Keep going straight from the garden until you reach an alley between two houses, and take it on the left. Follow the alley until a red torii gate comes into view; the third page lies on the ground just before the gate, in front of you.

The alley is the part that trips people up, because the main street continues past its entrance and looks like the obvious path. If the buildings on your left do not form a gap you can walk through, you have drifted too far down the main road. The red torii is also a landmark that appears elsewhere in the game, including on the Beast Core route toward Mistfall Harbor, so use the pair of houses as your confirmation that this is the right gate rather than any distant torii you can see.

There is no puzzle or interaction here. Walk into the alley, spot the page on the ground before the gate, and pick it up.

Where is Lost Page 4?

Turn around from the third page and walk a short distance back the way you came. A large rock sits beside the path, and the fourth page is right against it, close enough that you can see both at once.

This is the shortest step in the route, which is exactly why players miss it: they expect another long walk and keep going past the rock. Slow down as soon as you turn, and check the base of any large stone within a few steps of the alley.

The rock is also a useful orientation point if you have lost track of the loop, because the pagoda from step one is visible from here. If you can see the pagoda but not the rock, you are standing on the wrong side of the buildings and should return to the alley entrance.

Where is Lost Page 5?

Head west from the rock and follow the left-hand wall until you reach a bamboo garden. The fifth page sits under a bamboo tree on the left side of that garden, which makes it the last pickup of the route.

Following the wall is the instruction that matters. Cutting across the open ground toward the bamboo may look faster, but the page is placed on the left side of the garden, so an approach from the wrong angle leaves you searching the far edge. Walk the wall, enter the bamboo from the town side, and check the trees on your left as you go.

Once this page is in your bags, the quest completes on the spot. There is no need to walk back to Kona, and no hand-in dialogue to find.

Why do players still miss pages on this route?

Almost every miss comes from moving too fast past a small object, not from a wrong direction. The pages are flat pickups that sit against props, so they are easy to overlook when you are sprinting between waypoints or watching the rooftops.

Three specific habits cause most of the trouble. Looking upward wastes time, because all five pages are on the ground. Leaving the loop early breaks the chain of directions, since each step is written relative to the previous page rather than to a fixed landmark. And treating the tall pagoda as a destination rather than a reference point sends players to the wrong side of the town, which is larger than it first appears.

If you lose the trail, the fix is to return to Kona and restart the walk with the table on this page open. The route is short, and a second clean pass is faster than guessing where you went wrong.

For the rest of your opening hours, the leveling guide shows where these starting tasks fit before the first real grind, and the Breathing trainer locations page covers what to do once you reach level 25.

What do you get for collecting all five Lost Pages?

The Book of Guidance is granted automatically as soon as the fifth page is picked up, with no hand-in step and no dialogue. It works as a pointer, showing directions toward the next recommended quest while you are still learning the world.

One map guide also credits the same item with unlocking the map and fast travel, which would make this optional quest one of the highest-value early tasks in the game. That second effect is reported by a single outlet, so treat it as a strong lead rather than a confirmed mechanic; the quest-direction function is the part multiple guides agree on.

Either way, the reward is why this is the rare optional quest that is not really optional. It costs a few minutes, requires no combat, and removes guesswork from the next several hours of progression.

What is this page based on?

This page is built from Community Verified sources: TechWiser, ProGameGuides and a community walkthrough thread, cross-checked on 2026-09-23 against the v0.110 build. The five-step walking route comes from a first-hand guide that lists each landmark in order, and the quest giver, the optional flag and the Book of Guidance reward are repeated across the other sources.

The claim that the Book of Guidance unlocks the map and fast travel rests on a single map guide and is labelled as such above. Beyond that, nothing on this page depends on data the developer has published, because no official source describes the quest at all; if a landmark has moved since launch, the quest tracker and the pagoda skyline are the two things that will still orient you.
